NEO-VICTORIAN GLAM COAT DESIGNS: RETRO SMALL PLANES, LA AIRPORT PHOTOSHOOT.

December 6: drove from Los Angeles to the desert for a photoshoot at Hesperia Airport.

The lot was filled with small (and dangerous-looking) planes from the 1970s.

The clothing line has been on the back burner because I was in Tokyo for the past 2.5 months and have two book contracts to complete…

… but I’m getting on it. My LA meetings were very promising. Stay tuned for more.

To see more photos of my coat designs, check out the Gallery.

Love that coat! says:Oh, is your fashion line possibly going to be for sale online (or even in stores? I don't know how this all works, lol) anytime soon? I would really like to buy one of your coats someday and I hope you keep us informed on any progress with your clothing line. ^_^
(BTW, I'm SO SORRY for the spam on the other post! My stupid little brother went on my comp before and left stupid messages, it won't happen again. TT_TT; )

lacarmina says:Awww thank you! I want to run this business professionally (contrary to some assumptions about my edu-ma-cation, I spent over a year researching and implementing a business plan… lots of legal aspects involved in entrepreneurship). In order to do so, it's going to take time… but I will have the clothes in stores ASAP. Thanks for your support!

lacarmina says:Ahhh someone else described it a Blade Runner meets Cirque du Soleil – I didn't even think of that reference before doing the makeup, but it's spot on!

lacarmina says:My friend found the location a while back (when she was producing a film) and thought it'd be an awesome backdrop for a photoshoot… so we drove out into the desert for 2 hours to get there. It was worth it! :)
