MY CUTE DECORATED LAPTOP, KAWAII STICKERS, SONY DSLR-700 CAMERA AND HANDYCAM.

What are La Carmina’s tools of the trade? You caught a glimpse of my laptop in the last episode of Death Cookbook; it’s a Sony VAIO that has been given the Rococo treatment!
I picked up most of the stickers from Magic Trade Show in Las Vegas a few years back. Like all conventions, the experience was akin to trick-or-treat; thousands of clothing companies set up booths and handed out trinkets to attract browsers. This laptop has voyaged with me to Tokyo and is frequently sat on by Basil Farrow – but amazingly, the decals adhere!
On the right, you can see the unlined notebook I used to conceptualize my two upcoming books. Once again, the stickers were free; I got them from the Tokyo Design Festa and various Gothic Lolita Punk designers.

My professional camera is a Sony DSLR-700, which I pair with Minolta lenses from the pre-digital era. Highly recommended, but with a warning: the high image quality will turn you away from point-and-shoots for good. Or in the words of Jerry Seinfeld, you can’t fly coach after being in first class!

I recently picked up a Sony Handycam to shoot digital videos (can you tell that I’m a Sony fan?). 80 GB of memory and purse-ready – you can’t go wrong with that.
What type of software do I use with my electro-gizmos? Carmina hearts Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere). I worship my Sony trinity (my work depends on it), but I’m not a cell phone or iPod buff… in fact, I don’t even own a portable music player!

Shout-out to Cath of Allchic.com for writing about my clothing line on her site (above)! More interviews on the way…
What type of tech-equip do you use? Do you cute-ify your gizmos like I do?
