SEXY DYNAMITE LONDON, ALICE & THE PIRATES, H.NAOTO AT MARUI ONE: BEST PLACES TO SHOP FOR WOMEN'S CLOTHES IN TOKYO JAPAN.

Life is mad hectic in Tokyo, so this will be a quickie… Went to MaruiOne sale, which is also going on online. Street was closed off, department store was packed. Many of the shoppers were dressed in full Lolita. Tried on black leather gladiator sandals with silver star studs, but they only had size 22.5!! Despite the red tags, clothes were still expensive – $100 or more. Didn’t buy anything but took photos (coming up!).
Here are photos of the sixth floor of MaruiOne, taken during less crowded times. Sexy Dynamite London’s punk designs never really caught my attention.

h.NAOTO, on the other hand, takes up a lot of space in my brain. The new Marui gives h.NAOTO’s many sub-brands plenty space to display their wings. (The Hangry & Angry section will appear in a subsequent post).

Alice and the Pirates remains one of my favorites, although the current collection – striped pants, treasure chest purses, buccaneer jackets and wide-brimmed hats – is basically an updated version of previous seasons. On the right: S-inc’s new brand, Gramm. Much more on this collection tomorrow.

h.NAOTO’s rack of skirts made me feel like I was browsing Marie Antoinette’s closet.

I was big on pastels as a child, and still am now. In fact, my Cute Yummy Time illustrations mostly rely on a light green/pink/yellow color scheme!

Off to shoot a cute cooking MEETS Death Cookbook episode! I did a shaped egg episode with Basil a while back, and many of you asked where to find egg molds. Surf on over to J-List for all your cute bento equipment needs.
More Tokyo madness to come. PS: anyone know how I can get tickets for the Gackt (July 12) and Moi dix Mois (July 19) concerts in Tokyo??
Song of the Day #147: Dieterich Buxtehude – Sonata No. 1 in F major, Op. 1 (heard Baroque music in a theme bar last night…)
