TOKYOMADE MARKET: JAPANESE CRAFTS & INDIE DESIGNER HANDMADE CLOTHING IN SHIBUYA. NEON T-SHIRTS, TOKYO GRAPHIC ART TOYS & CUTE GIFTS.

Life in Tokyo: so much to see, and not nearly enough time! I wanted to stop by TokyoMade Market at mememachine Gallery in Shibuya, but alas, cooking classes and assorted decadence put a dent in my plans. After seeing photos of the event (courtesy TokyoMade) I wish I hadn’t missed it.

TokyoMade sells Japan-based independent fashion on its website, and the market was a chance to get up close and personal with the young designers. Neon T-shirts and bags, dancing Shojono Tomo dolls…

Ako, my friend and designer of Blablahospital, displayed her latest googly-eyed hair bows and guro-punk clothes. Hopefully I can make it to the next TokyoMade market… there’s one coming up in September or November. (You can also find handmade indie toys and wearables on the TokyoMade website.

I’ve been doing a ton of blogging catch-up. Dozens of “wahhh!” photos are scheduled for my Scottish Fold cat Basil Farrow’s blog. I also took pictures of cute food and bento accessories, which will be up on my Cute Yummy Time blog. I invite you to visit/subscribe/bookmark both!
