Buck Wolf writes: “Looking for a strange place to eat and drink? Book a flight to Tokyo, because the city is full of odd and unusual restaurants and clubs. Schoolgirls? Check. Maids? Check. Monkeys? Check. You name it, chances are there’s a restaurant devoted to it in Tokyo. The book “Crazy Wacky Theme Restaurants Tokyo” by Gothic Lolita fashion blogger La Carmina takes us inside dozens of the most unique restaurants, cafes and clubs in a city known for its unusual haunts. Check out these photos of some of the strangest.”

And of course, you can see the full array of pictures in my book (more info and ordering info here).

dear goodness!!!The Alice in Wonderland cafe! i MUST go there, even if it's the last thing i do (it's my favorite book, and i'm such an alice in wonderland and through the looking glass fan... almost obsessive)
  • It is one of my favorite restaurants on Earth! :)
  • Miss K
You make me want to go to Tokyo, you know that?
  • Lashy
Ohhh, lucky you! Is it totally weird seeing yourself in things like these?

Ha, I want to see Ponyo really badly, I'm jealous. ^_^

Also, something random. If you forget something and need to borrow it, my Japanese teacher makes you put your hands up like ears and make 'WAN WAN!" noises, begging like a dog. It's not quite the same, but the flock of kids wan-ing for red pens made me think of Basil Farrow's adorable little 'Wahhh!' today. So letting you two know that I thought of you today! :D
  • Ahahaha! That is very cute! One of my characters in Cute Yummy Time is a dog whose last name is Pero-Pero because that's Japanese onomatopoeia for a licking noise. :)

In Cantonese, many people say "wah" as slang to express surprise or excitement, so I found it quite funny that my cat makes the same noise. I am about to upload a video where he WAHHHS several times!
  • Lashy
    Awwh!

Ha, I do that all the time. It kind of freaks out my friends sometimes, because they think I'm whining. XD
