AROMALEIGH OPULENT LUSTRE EYE SHADOW COLLECTION. METALLIC MINERAL MAKEUP, SHIMMER EYESHADOWS & PASTEL BUTTERFLY HAT.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… Aromaleigh = genius. The independent company, loved for its gentle yet glam mineral makeup, sent me samples of the new Opulent Lustre eye collection. The shadows contain real metal powders and the effect is remarkable. One sweep of the brush and you’ve got shimmer! Glimmer!

Daiso dollar store stickers around eye, Harajuku Visual Kei makeup, Aromaleigh Opulent Lustre makeup, metallic shimmery eyeshadows, mineral eyeshadow hypo-allergenic, metal powder makeup, how-to pastel eye shadow, pastel butterflies, lace hat, Japanese makeup tutorials

The new Rococo metallics are perfect for a Fairy Kei-inspired look. I applied Dragonfly teal below my lids, Tamarind pink up to my brow, and Imperial purple along the eye crease. Black mascara on the upper lashes. To finish: Aromalegh’s clear white powder. The total effect is subtle yet fetching.

For a Harajuku spin, I added Daiso gem stickers. My vintage hat got a revamp with pastel butterflies and lace.

The Opulent collection is truly eye candy! You can see all of the shades and place an order from Aromaleigh’s website ($7.75, ships internationally).

Now I can’t wait to try out the new samples from the Gothic Lolita collection. Any suggestions for how to wear light pastel makeup?

I saved Aromaleigh's in my favourites long ago but I'm still wary...
For such a good price, how great is the quality/pigmentation? I don't want to end up make-up that wears off after a few hours >_>

It really lasts for hours -- I've gone 14+ without reapplying when I've used a base or sealant, and regularly wear foundation+eyes for at least 12 (in the hot, humid [i.e. sweaty] Hong Kong summer) without any eye base or sealant (I wash my face when I get home out of habit).

I'd recommend ordering some samples if you're not convinced. I was super skeptical at first but a quick convert. :)
  • It's remarkably long-lasting and the color goes on very well -- I give it my highest recommendation! Such good quality for the price.

Are the photos shopped? Because it looks like you applied a black-and-white filter on your hair, and it slipped over onto parts of your face and clothing :/

Love the eyeshadow combination, though. I might try something like that for myself! :D
  • Haaahahha of course they're Photoshopped! I wanted to make it look like a black + white veil descended over the hair area. The rough edges are there on purpose. ;)

Oh, ok. I wasn't sure whether or not that was deliberate. It adds a nifty feel to the photos, though ^^

This is cute! and Vampy too :D i love your blue lipstick! is it from Aromaleigh too?
  • I used an Aromaleigh lip creme as the base, then put Dragonfly and Cloud metallic powders on top. :)
