My new hair! Inspired by the manga ringlets in Rose of Versailles and Gothic Lolita Bible. Pink-ish, with punk-ish choppy pieces (you’ll see details in upcoming photos). My stylist curled the strands in several directions and used plenty of hairspray.

I am in Book Off, Japan’s largest chain of used bookstores and a prime source of Visual Kei and Gothic Lolita Punk fashion magazines. Lots of TV work coming my way recently… I took part in a demo shoot for a new subculture show that Random Pictures is developing. The camera crew filmed an intro and interview in the store, followed by a tea party in a Japanese garden — photos coming up.

Bonnet: Alice and the Pirates, from Lafore Harajuku
Lolita dress: Innocent World, from Closet Child Harajuku
Makeup: I can’t stop raving about Make Up Forever HD foundation, NARS Scarlet Empress lipstick, and of course, Aromaleigh’s Gothic Lolita eyeshadows.

I had to question the eco-friendlyness of trucking snow around, but thankfully the links are all there to look into it! The fuel used in transporting it is probably nothing vs. what they save. Thanks! I showed him some Kera magazine photos and he knew what to do. I think I did a post with suggestions about finding a hairdresser a while back… ask for someone who’s good with color. I think you can tell pretty quickly if the stylist is eager to do unconventional looks (as mine is).
