FAIRY KEI HARAJUKU STORE: SBY HAPPY ROOM. CUTE BUNNY PURSES, 1980S SCRUNCHIES, BIG SEQUIN HAIR BOWS.

Fairy kei shopping, stores in Harajuku Tokyo Japan, SBY Happy Room, cute 1980s pastel tutus, bunny rabbit plush toys, kawaii cute fairy fashion, 6% dokidoki, pink retro 80s Japanese fashion for girls, My Little Pony, Jem and Holograms fashion style

Let’s take a quick break from the Andrew Zimmern coverage for some Fairy Kei shopping in Harajuku. SBY Happy Room is on one of the Takeshita Doori side streets (see my Gothic Lolita Punk store guide for more.) With a name like that, how could anyone resist going in?

I have a few of these hair scrunchies. They remind me of my pastel-happy 1980s childhood. Don’t the bunnies look like they’re saying “Durr durr durrr?”

Plush critters, sequin bows, unicorns and other cute things — and nothing is too pricey here.

Quite a few new Fairy Kei stores have popped up; I’ll have more photos from Harajuku for you soon. Have you tried dressing in this style? It’s fun…

Also stay tuned for photos taken in Greenwich Village with lovely blogger Doe Deere!
