SWEETIE PIE CAFE IN WEST VILLAGE WITH DOE DEERE, FOUNDER OF LIME CRIME MAKEUP & FASHION LIFESTYLE BLOGGER.

I met up with the lovely Doe Deere at Sweetie Pie restaurant in the West Village. She’s the founder of Lime Crime makeup and runs a charming blog with makeup tutorials, photo inspiration, advice and much more.

Doe and I have several friends in common — I went to Columbia University with her sister — and we hit it off instantly. Sartorially, we definitely have a lot in common! (My dress is Metamorphose temps de Fille. The sparkly studded beret is from Nile Perch, a Fairy Kei store in Laforet, Harajuku.)

The cafe was too cute for words. We sat in a metal birdcage and ate sweets fit for Marie Antoinette.

Doe is gorgeous and tiny in person. I can’t wait to try her lipsticks, which come in Mana-friendly colors such as pale blue and black. I tried the absinthe and champagne cocktail…

… and we both had the raspberry and rose petal “fool” (a sort of mousse). Mmm, my mouth is watering as I think of it!

Kawaii teddy bear rings: from Nile Perch and MaruiOne Shinjuku

Doe and I will be celebrating Halloween together… stay tuned for more dressing up. You can find out more about her makeup line on her blog and Lime Crime website.
PS: I hope to see you at my NYC Cute Yummy Time book signing and demo!
