If you’ve been following my Tweets, you’ll know I got a new haircut and color. I also received some clothes and jewelry in the mail… a photo session beckoned. At Whole Foods? Why not? The Adventure Team already did a shoot at Trader Joes…

I’m digging the orange hair color, so my stylist re-dyed it in the same color. This time, the effect is more textured (compare with photos of my orange hair in April). The left side is a copper dark brown, split halfway down the bangs, just like those Visual Kei rocker boys.

Hyena t-shirt: gifted from Hyaena Gallery. LA friends, if you like Goth/eccentric art, you MUST visit this den of epicness. Remember our visit to the Pinky Violence exhibit?
Black fringe: from a fabric store in NY Fashion District. It’s a great way to spruce up a basic tee. You can wear it around your shoulders or sew the fringe to the sleeves.
Cute panda necklace: gifted from Cheeky Jezebel.

My red Angelic Pretty boots are still one of my most favored items. I got them barely used at Closet Child. And they’re comfortable.

I put a cherry sticker under one eye.

Dan Soelberg sent me his Gothic children’s book, Oddities of West Blankshire. Edward Gorey fans will love the illustrations of Victorian children in morbidly funny situations, each wittily captioned with a two-line rhyme. The limited edition book can be purchased here.

The anime girl ring is also gifted from Cheeky Jezebel. I can’t get enough of kawaii jewelry, and her accessories are both adorable and made by hand. More cuteness on her site.

Ah, I’ve been with my stylist for a long time, and he is knowledgeable about coloring and Japanese styles… Do you mean the color texture or curl texture?

The color… I suggest showing photos. I said I wanted one side more bright orange, the other copper/brown but with orange pieces underneath. The bangs, I wanted half-colored on each side but with a bit of gradient.

The curling part – he just used a small straightening iron and bent strips of hair on top, back and forth, which created irregular waves. Then I tied it up and slightly to the side.

Aha genetics… lucked out on the hair. My mother has realllly thick hair… we always have to get our hair thinned out. I also don’t back-comb or dye my hair thaaat often (3-4 times a year), so I think that helps too…

I’m US size 6.5 or 7. I never check the shoe sizes at Closet Child ahha, I just try them on. And it’s amazing, in most cases they fit me. I think the standard size for Lolita shoes — like this one, my Alice + Pirates boots (from CNN shoot) and the h.NAOTO crucifix shoes I just bought — is a 7. I’m made for them muahah!

i wish i could goto the store.. but unfortunately its a bit of a travel to Tokyo .. though i might have to visit with a lot of money in my pocket lol (shopping over there would b trouble for me lol my bf dreads it and loves it all at once) lol
