I was looking forward to the film Black Swan ever since I saw the poster of Natalie Portman in winged-eyed Gothic makeup. I went to the advance screening last night, and yes, the Oscar buzz is well deserved. Portman is terrifying as a perfectionist ballerina teetering towards insanity. Be prepared for to wince — nail cutting, scratching and peeling — as she falls to pieces. Darren Aronofsky (director of Pi) keeps it tense throughout, especially in the spiraling scenes where she dances to Swan Lake. Black Swan opens today… go see it. You may leave the theater perturbed, but you won’t be disappointed.

What’s everyone doing this weekend? Perhaps some DIX-mas shopping, and watching Black Swan?

PS: I’ve decided! I’m adding a new color to my hair. Hmm, what do you think it will be….

wow it’s kida weird to read that you rarely buy clothes in Japan. If I’d have the possibility to go back there I think I’ll expend all my money buying things, but I guess that I have that idea in mind since I can’t find that kind of things here in Spain.
btw I have a terrible crush on those shoes.
Have a good day dear ^_^

I rarely buy *new* clothes in Japan, haha. About 70% of my wardrobe is secondhand clothing from Closet Child, which carries brands like h.NAOTO, Moi-meme-Moitie, Victorian Maiden and everything else on the right sidebar of my blog :)

okok xD now I understand :) I know those brand I also have some H Naoto jackets anyway japanese brands doesn’t suit me at all since I’m not skinny and the only thing I can buy are shoes and jacktets/huddies. I’d love they sell stuff overseas that would make me really happy.

Wow look at all those clothes! Yea it would be damn fun to Christmas shopping if I was near a shopping district like that. But no…guess I’ll just go through the web and just do my shopping there.

Punk and New Wave are certainly not dead – and SHALL NEVER DIE.

As for Black Swan – I think I may just go see it with a film fanatic friend of mine. I gotta see how this one turns out. It certainly sounds mysterious – and I watched an interview of Kunis talking about how she didn’t understand the script until reading it for about 6 times or so. Of course…maybe that’s just her hahaha, or in general it really is “strange.”

Some really good mysterious/strange movies I’ve seen are mainly anime. Quite notably: Perfect Blue by Satoshi Kon. Oh wow what a wonderful piece of work that was. Truly haunting.

As for the new color…green. I don’t know why I think so – but that was the first color which popped in my head.

In other news…I am quite frankly disturbed by all these wikileaks. – Not the fact that they were leaked…I think it’s awesome that a group of badass geniuses can hack into the government and exploit everything for the world and for the truth, but basically what’s inside the info and videos. Gosh sometimes I really wish could just shut myself off from the world and live in my own little world with friends, dreams, and movies – but it always pains me to see how FUCKED up this world can sometimes be. I mean we get a few people like Mother Teresa, and then others who just love the art of killing.

The movie is certainly haunting… I was tense throughout! I’d love to see Perfect Blue.
Sebastiano and I have a major new project in the works that taps into exactly that… we want to do something that helps out. Makes a difference. :)

Looking forward to Black Swan. Who knew such evil lay behind ballerinas? From the same director as one of my favorite movies,The Wrestler.(amazing how Aronofsky jumps to different genres in each movie)
