BEST LOS ANGELES BOUTIQUE HOTELS, TRENDY ORLANDO HOTEL IN WEST HOLLYWOOD. LUXURY ROOMS BY BEVERLY HILLS, LA.

Where did Seba and La Carmina stay, during their Hollywood Invasion? At The Orlando, a luxury boutique hotel in West Hollywood. The hotel kindly hosted us and put us in a giant Executive Suite. We created a funny video of our misadventures… please take a few minutes to enjoy!
We gave the staff a daily fashion show, caused ruckus in the room, and took a 2am dip in the pool. Watch La Carmina give a “Samantha Brown” tour of the bathroom, and Seba fail (twice!) to open a wine bottle. Our favorite memory from the hotel – a funny incident room service mix-up – is at the end of the video!

When we arrived, we were flabbergasted at the size of the suite, decked out in modern furnishings. I could have slept all day in the king bed. And we practically lived in the cotton robes with complimentary slippers.

Seba brought me jewelry from Japan, and I gave him a copy of my Crazy, Wacky Theme Restaurants book. (Do you have a copy yet?)
La Carmina wears: Algonquins dress, Japanese knee highs gifted from Artisan Socks, jewelry gifted from Grotan and RJ 1959.
Sebastiano wears: a skull t-shirt from Stand Up! The Fragile, the brand he’s a main model for.

Our top floor suite had a large sitting area with a couch and chairs, overlooking the swimming pool and ritzy neighborhood. (Thank you to Ako, designer of Blablahospital, for the card!)

The fully stocked gym included a sauna and saltwater swimming pool. There were even free green apples in the lobby.

The hotel had modern decor and an intimate, upscale feel (with only 98 rooms).

And the location? Brilliant. On West 3rd, by trendy restaurants, The Grove, Beverly Center, Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods.

Waiting for the valet to bring our convertible from Argus Rentals. My glittery skirt matched the Christmas tree. (Full outfit details in this post.)

When January rolled around, the hotel replaced the tree…

But I still matched!

The room had more than enough space for our many, many clothes and cosmetics. Still, we ended up trashing it.

We love the staff at The Orlando! By the end of our invasion, they had become our family.

When you’re visiting Los Angeles, we encourage you to try this boutique hotel… we’re sure you’ll have as much fun as we did! (Rooms at The Orlando begin at $169 a night; we were hosted as media.)
Do you have a favorite hotel, in LA or anywhere? Have you tried staying at a boutique hotel? Trust me, the experience is much more personal than at a big hotel chain…
Please check out our hilarious new video about The Orlando — the story about “2 knives, 2 forks” is simply epic!
