I’ve been teasing you about my new hairstyle. Two bright colors I’ve never done before. Drumroll please… La Carmina’s gone pink and yellow-orange!

Everyone always asks me: which bright hair dye do you use? My stylist likes Joico Vero K-PAK Color Intensity, which comes in a rainbow of shades.

I always recommend that you go to a professional for cutting and dying. My super-talented stylist, Isolde at Avant Garde Hair, put foils in all the right places, leaving dark areas underneath for dimension. She cut a lot off, at a dramatic angle: the right side’s long, the left is almost shoulder length.

Corset Chick sent me this dramatic skirt and thigh-high fishnets. This online clothing store carries a variety of corsets, Gothic Lolita dresses and skirts. For those who can never fit into Japanese brands: hooray, these designs come in plus sizes!

I love the skirt’s lace layers, and the shorter front with the trailing back (very vampiric). The fishnet stockings are sturdy and never fell down. Check out Corset Chick to buy Gothic Lolita fashion, both regular and plus-sized.

    I LOVE everything about this post. You hair is so fun! I would love to do orange & pink someday when I have the job that allows it XD and the outfit is fantastic, I’m in love with that cropped jacket.     I love the outfit, but while I like the blue Fluevogs (and like Fluevogs in general) I don’t think they go with the frilly outfit. I’ve never been one for chunky shoes with frilly outfits. Fluevog do some gorgeous patterned suede long boots that would rock with that outfit, though ;)That skirt is gorgeous, absolutely GORGEOUS

    My god, I love your hair!  It looks lantana flowers, which in turn always reminded me of Fruity Pebbles when I was a kid.  Oh, I love how nuanced the dye job is!  Also love the asymmetrical cut–that was the first thing I did when I got into punk/goth.  I’d have my mom cut my hair for me :)

    Fluevog is my favorite shoe brand–I love yours!!!  When I’m trying to convert people and they say they can’t afford them, I tell them to just stop buying cheap, disposable shoes–it’s a false economy to buy them.  I think most women have lost sight of the fact that there are shoes that you can wear for years and years, shoes that don’t wear out.  I buy a pair of Fluevogs every year or two, and hardly buy any other shoes.   They’re great for people who normally can’t wear heels–I used to have that problem.  My Fluevog Operetta Ilianas really helped with that for some reason–they were like training wheels!  I love those shoes so much that I eventually also bought them in red, the most gorgeous red leather that I’ve ever seen.  Sometimes Ross and I just stare at them :)  I’ve also worn the hell out of the Rosabelle boots (they were worn in the Silent Hill movie–knee high boots, sort of a hybrid between combat and riding boots?  A lot like old-fashioned wrestling boots).  I’ve replaced the rubber heels on them a bunch of times myself–upkeep and parts are ridiculously cheap.

      Oh YES Fluevogs are worth every cent. I have 4 pairs in total now, bought over the last decade. I still wear them all :)
