GOTHLOLI OF THE WEEK #56: NAKA.

Young teenage Asian Gothic Lolita girl.
† Name/URL: Grace AKA Naka AKA Gard – Pinn.
† Age: 14
† Location: England (cold and wet 24/7)
† How were you introduced to Gothic Lolita fashion?
The usual way >.< I got into Pokemon and Card Captors and when they finished I would search for more anime. I saw such pretty dresses in Chobits ^^ So I got introduced to it a couple of years ago. I never actually knew the name of the fashion until I was searching for 'Japanese fashion in Hong Kong' in jan 2008 and I stumbled across La Carmina, where I found a blog about Spider. I later went on to buy my first lolita dress and outfit from there. So thank you La Carmina ^^
† What do you find appealing about GL style and culture?
It’s bold and different. I love sweet lolita but I only own gothic lolita. Sweet lolita does seem to bode well with me XD But I’m making a slow transition >.^ I like how I feel like a princess when I wear it and the frilliness! I adore how it’s so beautiful and alluring without showing any skin. I don’t like the prices >.< I hate having the same things as other people and lolita is not so widely worn over here so that's a plus.
† What are your favorite GL clothing brands?
Baby the Stars Shine Bright and Spider.
† Any other comments?
Hmmm, I think fashion is a great way to express yourself so don’t let people’s snide comments get you down, because really they’re just jealous. Headdresses are quite easy to make as well so try making one yourself to save money. I often find clothes expensive and mass produced so I sew quite a lot. Alternative wear (Lolita, Fruits, Punk, Goth) sparked my interest in sewing. So thank you again La Carmina, because if I didn’t find lolita fashion I would probably wouldn’t be where I am now. I would appreciate it if people could send me links to lolita patterns and if someone could tell me what kinda patterns comes with what issue of the Gothic Lolita Bible. I love bows as well sorry I just have to mention that >.< Arigato ^^
