MORE JAPAN STREET STYLE PHOTOS: WA LOLITA, TOKYO DECADANCE CYBER KEI.

Tokyo Decadance cyber kei fashion with DJ Sisen, cybergoth and rave club clothing in Tokyo Japan. Cyber falls or dreads, weird Japanese Fruits hair.

Day 2 of Tokyo Street Style Week marches forward with Style Arena’s survey of Cyber-kei. You’ll recognize DJ Sisen and other Tokyo Decadance regulars in these photos; the club night is, of course, is ground zero for futuristic fashion. Style Arena cites the use of “metals, plastic, vinyl, and rubber”, “metallic and florescent colors,” and the influence of manga, anime, and video games.

Wa Lolita fashion from Takuya Angel fashion show and shoot. Wa Goth, Qutie Fresh clothing, cyber kimonos. Traditional Japanese patterns in futuristic rave cyber clothes.

One cannot talk about Wa-kei without mentioning Takuya Angel, the brand that fuses traditional patterns (kimono, geta) with modern Tokyo’s cutting-edge looks (cosplay, Gothic, Lolita, and cyber). Most of these photos are from a Takuya Angel photoshoot from last October (that’s my friend Count de Sang on the top right) – but Qutie Fresh and Lacrima also offer Gothic and Lolita styles with Wa patterns.

Goth and punk clothing, gothic lolita couples. Male version of goth loli, kodona or dandy, ouji, elegant aristocrat fashion.

Goth + Punk, Goth + Mode… Dark elegance manifests itself both on the streets and in expensive stores. Do you think we’ll be seeing more of Wa Lolita in 2009?

Tomorrow: more Japan street snaps and fun Italo Disco, such as…

Song of the Day #30: Fun Fun – Baila Bolero (1986)

Ah, I've even seen Wa style patterns in GLB Extra! :)) We will definitely be seeing more of it, it's a cool style :)

My prediction is: Wa loli and other derivatives will grow in popularity, there's a need for loli style to move forward and branch out, ne? ;) Natural evolution :)

I love the wa-kei outfits you posted. Let's hope that some people (maybe me?) start adopting the look in the States. BTW, great choice with Fun Fun's “Baila Bolero.”

I'd love to see you looking like a cyber-Japanese doll!
Have you figured out an outfit for the Edwardian Ball? Wish I could make it.

Oh, that would be totally cool!

In the Visual Kei article this website mentions the upcoming trend for white gothic. Now that is really cool. How do you think, will it look like MM’s Le Ciel PV costumes? Do you like white gothic?

Aargh. Been wondering why you haven't updated for so long. Seems you've moved your RSS feed? :(

I've scanned images from the February “FRUiTS” and Jan/Feb double issue of “KERA!” and want to send links to the compressed files to you (they total 70+ images and are in good resolution; can't send files that large in an email) but your “Contact” page is missing.

Mail me if you want the links. Kudos. :)

Ahhh yes, I've moved to a bigger and better platform. THANK YOU for pointing out the missing contact page; I've now fixed the link.

Thanks so much for the images – I really appreciate it! You can reach me at gothiccarmina@gmail.com

    Take care!
