LAFORET TOKYO SHOPPING CENTER: H.NAOTO, ATELIER PIERROT, METAMORPHOSE, EGL.

Laforet department store in Harajuku, Tokyo. Gothic Lolita store display, pirate cosplay costume, Alice and the Pirates brand by Baby the stars shine bright.

Yesterday, we visited Emily Temple and Jane Marple on the upper floors of Laforet, Harajuku’s major shopping complex. Dainty and darling… but if you’re anything like me, you’d rather spend time with the punks and the pirates. Avast – to the underground!

Algonquins Japanese punk goth lolita designer, at Laforet shopping center in Tokyo Japan. Visual kei stage stage outfit worn by Kamijo.

On the descent to level B1, you’ll have to steer past Putumayo, Algonquins, and Alice and the Pirates…

Algonquins punk t-shirts, black and white striped scarves, pink shirts, Hot Topic store interior. Japanese goth punk brand at Laforet Harajuku.

Black, white, and pink stripes: emblems of the Harajuku punk tribe Algonquins. My favorite piece was an aqua-colored top with long black strips looped over the front.

Interior of Algonquins shop in giant Tokyo mall, Laforet department store. Punk striped clothing, hoodies, Japanese streetwear brand.

The girl is wearing a giant panda backpack.

Super Lovers cute panda bear toys, punk t shirts, shop in Tokyo Japan.

Super Lovers’ starry-eyed pandas are next door. Around the corner, there are racks of fashion magazines and music (see my Laforet video tour for a glimpse).

Metamorphose temps de fille sweet lolita dresses. Frilly country loli, Victorian aprons, childlike cute doll children's clothing in Japan.

Walk down half a level to B1.5, and you’ll be greeted by the lock-necked swans of Metamorphose temps de fille.

Alice and the Pirates stores in Tokyo, Laforet department store. Shopping for Gothic Lolita clothing, famous brands in Harajuku.

Alice and the Pirates is one swashbuckling brand (and probably my current favorite).

Stigmata gothic lolita clothing brand, h.NAOTO goth punk Rococo clothing and shopping at Laforet Harajuku. Crazy wild Japanese fashion mall.

Also underground: Stigmata, Black Peace Now, Mille Fleurs, Choice x Sexy, Black Lab by Hiderock, and Putumayo.

The H.Naoto boutique had the most morbid accessories display I’ve ever seen. Fingernails and ants were embedded to the shelves with globs of clear glue! I tried on a dress from his new collection (it was $175-ish).

Atelier Pierrot gothic and sweet lolita store in Laforet, with brands Victorian Maiden, Innocent World, Beth, little hats and lace accessories. Tall male gosurori.

In the Atelier Pierrot shop, a towering male Goth Loli was trying on Victorian hats with his cheery Lolita friends.

It's on Meiji-doori in Harajuku… go down Takeshita doori when you exit the station, and when you reach Meiji doori, turn right. It's 1-2 blocks down

They'll still be there for sure :)

A few boutiques just opened in the San Fran New People World, so I think it's a good sign of continued expansion!

I've been in Tokyo for soon three months, and I'm going home next week. I've been to Laforet so many times, ahaha. Though, I only got h.naoto from there. As for Putumayo, I usually go to the Putumayo store on Harajuku street. And the rest of the brands are too expensive.

    I'm going to miss Laforet basement floors something awfully. ;__;

It's such a great place to spend some extra time in.
