MEDUSA'S MAKEUP: GOTH ELECTRO GLAM EYE SHADOWS, NEW RAVE GLITTER DUST.

Medusa’s Makeup, electro new rave eye shadow and dust. Disco club queen makeup. Goth beauty artist brushes.
Thank you, darklings, for the beauty brand suggestions in yesterday’s comments. Have you heard of Medusa’s Makeup? I quite like their products, and the name’s appropriate: whenever you wear these bold electro eye glitters, onlookers will stop dead in their paths.

Medusa’s Makeup specializes in Day-Glo colors for electro New Ravers, but there are plenty of venal shades for Goths and Goth Lolis (top row, $6 each). To achieve a whiter shade of pale, try applying the light mineral Geisha foundation ($14) with the Kabuki brush ($14).

Blue lipstick, Gothic Lolita makeup on visual kei artist Mana Sama of Malice Mizer. Medusa Goth makeup tips, tutorial.

Medusa offers a pro eye shadow palette ($119, first photo) that looks like it was stolen from the Fauvists’ studio. I like the outlook it suggests: that makeup isn’t for covering up imperfections, but for creating human works of art. For a Malice Mizer Rococo pierrot look, try these pressed eye shadows with micro sparkles ($9). Medusa only offers eyeliner pencil in black ($6) – because seriously, what other color would you need?

DJ Chihiro, Tokyo Dark Castle. White foundation skin makeup. Goth spooky, white face paint, scars and bloody lips.

DJ Chihiro, who spins at Tokyo Dark Castle and other J-Goth club nights, is master of just-rose-from-the-grave makeup. He’d enjoy Medusa’s Eyeliner Seal ($8 ), an elixir that turns eye dust into long-lasting facial paint. The suppository-like Stick It! ($7) is in fact a natural wax primer for the eyes and lips.

All of these items can be ordered from the Medusa’s Makeup website. Check out the customer photo gallery – it’s an electric shock of inspiration!

Ooo, I've been tempted by Medusa's Makeup for ages… I love that they only make black liner! I must try it out… and those eye colors look gorgeous, too.

From my experience, a cheaper and longer lasting solution to something like DJ Chihiro or MALICE MIZER is to go with what they use.
    Which is Ben Nye.

The stuff is great, eventhought it is theater make up, it is easy to apply and last a long time with several “set colors”. the color palette on Ben Nye is absolutely limitless.

Even if you use a normal foundation, you can use the transluscent or nude sets to keep everyday make up looking pretty damn spiffy all day.

Just a recommendation to the $14 foundation.
I bought a near dead shade of Ben Nye pancake foundation, and it's lasted me for about as long as make up can go before it begins to break down. It was about $9.

I actually get eyeliner pencils in several different colors: black, medium brown, subdued green, and a bright sparkling lavender (my fave), though I'd love some gold and turquoise, too. I find them much easier to apply than eyeliner, and you don't need any brushes to put it on. Just use the broad side of the tip for wide fields of color, and use the point for details. :3 Plus, you can use lip liners as eyeliner… it's the exact same stuff, just a different color! I have a nice red I use for kabuki-style highlights. :D

Oh, and one more thing… Doe Deer is a musician/ex-fashion designer/blogger who does some pretty incredible make-ups. She's a big inspiration to me…

Here's her blog category with all the step-by-step tutorials: http://www.doedeereblogazine.com/articles/categ

She makes them so simple and clear, even a total beginner could do it!

I'm a fan of blue eyeliner worn along with black/grey shadows – such as in this pic:
