LA CARMINA PORTRAIT IN LOS ANGELES GOTH ART EXHIBIT: DARK PAINTINGS BY DIENZO.

La Carmina will be in Los Angeles later this month… in the form of a Victorian-esque portrait! The immensely talented Dienzo painted a vampiric version of yours truly (I’m flattered!). Starting May 16th, this work and more will be on the walls of Hyaena Gallery.

I can’t show you an image of my portrait quite yet, but let me assure you: it’s bloody fantastic. Award-winning designer Dienzo is a whiz at “dark little characters that are meant to intrigue, entice and perhaps cause a bit of anxiety.” Spooky schoolchildren, Bettie Page, Pumpkinhead and other outcasts fill his inky vignettes. As a reviewer puts it, “They’re not the sort of kids your parents would want you to play with.”

Please come out to see me – or rather, my vampiric likeness – at Dienzo’s haunting art exhibition! It opens May 16th and runs until the 23rd at Hyaena, a Burbank gallery known for its odd and eclectic collections. Los Angelinos, please spread the word (you can click the Envelope symbol below-left to email this post to friends).
