CLOSET CHILD SHINJUKU: VINTAGE SHOPPING IN JAPAN, SECONDHAND TOKYO WOMEN'S DESIGNER CLOTHING, BUY GOTHIC LOLITA PUNK ACCESSORIES.

Japanese vintage shopping, buy secondhand women's clothing in Tokyo, Shinjuku Closet Child, cheap Gothic Lolita dresses, where to buy designer discount fashion in Japan. Vivienne Westwood, poodle skirt print Sweet Lolita dress.

I posted photos of Closet Child Harajuku a while back but never got around to the Shinjuku ones until now. Unlike its Harajuku sister (which is currently being renovated), the Shinjuku location is difficult to find. Take the West exit from Shinjuku station, walk straight down the main road and turn right at the grey/green building with the clock… take a few more steps and look hard for the Closet Child sign. You’ll have to squeeze into a sliver in the wall and take the cramped elevator to Floors 5 and 6.

Sweet Lolita dresses on rack in Tokyo store, Closet Child Shinjuku. Strawberry pattern print Lolita dress. Japanese vintage shopping, buy secondhand women's clothing in Tokyo, cheap Gothic Lolita dresses, where to buy designer discount fashion in Japan. Vivienne Westwood, poodle skirt print Sweet Lolita dress.

Ah, but you’ll be richly rewarded with racks upon racks of secondhand Lolita dresses! Some of the items are yellowing, and not all are the finest specimens of gosurori… but where else can you get a Metamorphose temps de fille dress for $90? And a matching ruffled cardigan for $60? (That’s how much I paid for my outfits in these photos and this video!)

Goth lolita vintage bonnets and 1950s sunhats, retro hat and accessories, Japanese vintage shopping, buy secondhand women's clothing in Tokyo, Shinjuku Closet Child, cheap Gothic Lolita dresses, where to buy designer discount fashion in Japan. Harajuku shopping guide.

The fifth floor is Sweet Lolita Land. Everything is sorted by color and product type: bonnets, big hair bows, skirts, blouses, dresses, shoes. All of the clothes are used, but most of the small accessories – cupcake rings, bon-bon bracelets – are new and inexpensive.

Vivienne Westwood rare purses, heart sweater. Locations, guide and map for Japanese vintage shops, buy secondhand women's clothing in Tokyo, Shinjuku Closet Child, cheap inexpensive Gothic Lolita dresses, where to buy designer discount fashion in Japan.

The left-most area of the sixth floor is the domain of Vivienne Westwood. You’ll find 1970s punk plaid, a large glass case of orb and crown jewelry, chunky handbags, and even original rocking horse shoes.

Japanese Goth punk J-rock clothing, band stage outfits, Visual Kei rock star clothes. retro vintage shopping, buy secondhand women's clothing in Tokyo, Shinjuku Closet Child, coolest places to buy fashion in Japan.

The Shinjuku location has a greater selection of Alice Auaa, along with your usual Gothic suspects (h.NAOTO, Black Peace Now, Moi-meme-Moitie, Putumayo). I’ve found quite a few J-rockin’ tops for under $15.

Closet Child is one of my favorite places on the planet to shop. How about you? Do any items catch your eye?

I bought loads of goodies at the Shinjuku Closet Child… Oh, the happy memories! I thought the Shinjuku location (although hard to find!) was better than the Harajuku one, at least the Gothic floor.
There are some other second hand shops scattered around Tokyo that have a small selection of Gothic Lolita as well, even though they aren't specifically for lolita clothing. I found a lovely lace h.Jelly cardigan in a second hand shop that only had about one rack of lolita clothing!

Nice find! I've also found Peace Now and other brands in the huge Kinji secondhand shop in Harajuku, as well as a few other places… Shimokitazawa is a vintage haven too. :)

On my giant list of places to go to when I visit Japan (never been, but I've been saving and my google maps is full of places to go and play), this was one of the places I wanted to go to, but wasn't number one on my list. But seeing the photos and the amazing prices (a dress for 90 bucks?! count me in!) this is now definitely a priority! Even if they are gently used, I don't mind! Heck, it's like a Goodwill store full of name brands that I want!
Thanks for the info! I will take it into much consideration…

    Nice post!

Now a days lot of designs have arrived in to womens fashion style. But one of the key items every woman should have is a pair of jeans that flatters your figure and can be dressed up or down. Women in jeans looks sexy and gorgeous.
