You get out of bed, pour your coffee into a panda mug, and stir in your stevia with a matching peek-a-boo spoon. You rinse your hands with soap from a frog dispenser.

Tokyo character good stores, where to buy cute Japanese stationery and toys. Monkey bath scrub, animal laundry baskets, kids and baby designer furniture and home decor, decor kawaii hair accessories with faces.

Time for a shower. A “bubble monkey” scrub mitt exfoliates your skin. You throw your PJs into the Happy Lion laundry basket and tie up your hair with squishy farm animal elastics.

Japan buy cute Totoro Ghibli stationery, bib, souvenirs. Cute souvenir store and shopping in Ikebukuro Tokyo, plastic boxes with cute faces, kids and children's baby's home decoration, designer Japanese furniture.

Uh oh: the baby kitty is hungry. He clamors onto a happy footstool and looks up at the bear-faced treat box. As you watch him chomp his food, you wonder if you can dress him in a Totoro bib.

Japan buy cute pillows, shopping for Sanrio character goods, sleepy animal plush toys and pillows, Japanese home decoration and interior design, childrens bedroom decoration ideas kawaii.

You’d better get to work – but then you glimpse the sleepy animal pillows on the couch. You sit down and pinch the baby elephant’s cheeks. Before you can say kawaii, you’re back in dreamland…

All of these photos were taken in Ikebukuro, one of Tokyo’s best districts for cute character goods. Loft and Daiso are also great places to shop. Do you have any kawaii home decor items? Which ones are your favorites?

You've just described one of my ideal ways to start the day! If I lived in Japan there is no doubt my life would look like that, but at the prices I have to pay in Australia it is a slowly growing collection…although given I began collecting about 24 years ago… ^-^
I have to say that that is one of the hidden benefits of having children, people no longer think it is odd to love such things and think they all belong to the kids! LOL.

I think it DOES sort of make you immune… it doesn't seem like a novelty, at least. I have relatives in LA that cover their house from ceiling to floor with kawaii items. It's a tad scary.

In the future, could you list the stores the goods come from? While I recognise Passport’s goodies, I might go a bit mad if another post shows some kawaii I don’t know and can never find :D
