CHILDHOOD DRAWINGS OF HELLO KITTY & CUTE JAPANESE CAT CHARACTERS. KID'S SANRIO SKETCHES, COLORED PENCIL PICTURES.

Hello Kitty loomed large in my formative years. In the late 80s and early 90s, I clung to her plush figure and rendered her likeness with my colored pencils. Who but Hello Kitty would gush, “I love going to school!!!”?

Have you ever looked at your old drawings? I am baffled at my childhood imagination. Around age ten, I drew Kitty and her twin sister Mimmy in pleated dresses and bracelets… next to a disturbing-looking white cat in a princess gown… a mother and baby elephant in a cage… and a fragment of a smiling sun. Now that’s Surrealism.

Then there’s my cut-out of cats at a skating party. The third one looks like he wants to claw someone. Maybe he’s angry because he isn’t wearing any pants?
Hahaha, I am laughing so hard at my old sketches! I’ll share more of these soon. Add me on Twitter for random Hello Kitty tweets… such as Thai police being forced to wear Kitty armbands and a new Kitty PC…
