CLOSET CHILD VIVIENNE WESTWOOD & VISUAL KEI J-ROCK MUSIC STORE IN HARAJUKU, TOKYO JAPAN. VINTAGE SECONDHAND GOTHIC LOLITA PUNK CLOTHING.

In the past few months, Closet Child (my much-loved Goth Loli Punk secondhand store) has undergone a significant Harajuku expansion. In addition to the renovated three-floor store on Takeshita Doori, there’s now a branch for vintage Vivienne Westwood…

…such as original rocking horse shoes and 1970s punk plaid bags. Need I say the prices are steep?

Around the corner (and under Takuya Angel), the Closet Child CD shop sells Visual Kei goodies. I saw Cure Magazine on a stand and rare Malice Mizer box sets/DVDs behind a glass case.
More Harajuku and NYC photos coming up. I Tweet Japan fashion news several times a day; add me on Twitter to keep up-to-date. And stay tuned for an autographed book giveaway!
PS: A fun article I wrote for CNNGo about strange fruit. If you think the stinky durian is the weirdest fruit you’ll find in Asia, you clearly haven’t seen Japan’s square and pyramid-shaped watermelons. Or the more random individual freaks of nature, such as the famed Mickey Mouse tomato…
Song of the Day #232: Queen – Innuendo (One of my first CDs, released 1991. Never forget: “you can be anything you want to be / just turn yourself into anything you think you could ever be / be free with your tempo, be free be free”)
