La Carmina hearts London Underground Shoes — as you’ll remember in these posts — so it was a thrill to be invited to Dynasty Footwear’s headquarters in Los Angeles. The crew treated me like a princess: I got a grand tour and left with several goodies, including these gorgeous boots!
I love visiting creative workspaces; it’s always inspiring to see how a product I admire — in this case, London Underground’s Goth/alternative footwear — comes into fruition. My eyes shot out of my head when I stepped through the door: the HQ could pass for Imelda Marcos’ closet. Rooms upon rooms of shoes, from spanking new samples to vintage styles (such as these platforms).
Designer Paul holds a gorgeous boot (wouldn’t it look great in a gyaru outfit?). Many shoe samples never make it into production for various reasons; what a pity that nobody will ever see or wear these creations!
How beautiful is the corset lacing on these leather ankle boots? I’ve tried on many Goth/alternative shoes over the years, and few pull off the class and construction seen here.
Dynasty Footwear produces a variety of shoe brands: everything from sports sneakers to cute children’s sandals. But my favorite remains London Underground. Just look at the patterned satin heel and silver accents.
