DAS BUNKER: GOTH INDUSTRIAL DANCE CLUB, LOS ANGELES CATCH ONE NIGHTCLUB. JAPANESE GOTHIC CLUB FASHION.

Heavy Metal Adventure Team assemble… and commence nightcrawl! We met friends at the Palms Thai restaurant on Hollywood, home to the infamous Thai Elvis impersonator. I had a very spicy papaya salad.

We tried to do a Power Rangers group pose and failed.

The Adventure Team piled into the Death-Mobile and stopped twice (!!) for alcohol before arriving at Goth/Industrial club night, Das Bunker. After their recent LA concert, DJ SiSEN and Selia headed straight there (in Kynt and Vyxsin’s car!) to stomp the night away.

Das Bunker was as epic as its name. Three dance floors (Goth, Industrial, Power Noise) that played excellent obscure tracks in addition to favorites by VNV Nation, Combichrist and Nitzer Ebb. A friendly, spooky-cyber crowd (although a girl spilling out of her latex panties made Lemon and me tilt our heads). Unlike most clubs, there was enough quiet lounge space for us to talk and rehydrate. Los Angeles Goths — this is where you must be on Friday nights!

What I wore:
Flower clip in hair: Don’t buy an overpriced one from an accessories boutique! I got mine for $1.50 from a fabric store.
Pink feathers in hair: Rather than using hair extensions, I tied and pinned feathers in my hair. I got them from Odakaya in Shinjuku, Tokyo.
Dress: Yumi London (see more photos here)
Spikes and faux fur Goth jacket: Lip Service
Crucifix bead necklace: handmade. Want to make one? Read my DIY blog post.
Who’s going to the midnight opening of Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland — and dressing up? We are, we are!
Song of the Day #317: Apoptygma Berzerk – Love Never Dies (one of the tracks played that night. Can’t get enough of the O Fortuna clip.)
