Visiting the Gothic Lolita Punk boutiques in the basement of Laforet department store (on Meiji-doori in Harajuku) feels a bit like trick-or-treat. Each shop is lavishly decorated to match the brand image.

Angelic Pretty is, naturally, an over-the-top pink candyland.

The pastel JSKs aren’t my cup for tea, and I almost never wear pink. I do, however, like the strawberry yukata (summer kimono) on display.

The shoes and socks at Metamorphose are in a bit of a jumble. I think the store needs a re-design.

Fairy Key shop Nile Perch… it’s like time travelling back to a 1980s girl’s bedroom.

I think my bedroom looked like this when I was a kid.

Which Laforet Lolita shop reflects your personal style the most? For me, it’s Atelier Pierrot and Alice and the Pirates.

Want more photos of these stores? Everything is in my Gothic Lolita Punk shopping guide to Tokyo here.

    Well…because I don’t normally cross dress ^_^. . . – I can’t really decide.

BUT! If I were to choose what looks quite appealing to me I gotta say I’m dead on with you with the Putayomo Lolita Dress with the Cheshire cat and Alice print. That looks absolutely stunning and gorgeous in my eyes. I also like the Alice and the Pirates – yellow lolita dress. That caught my eye as well…but I feel as if it would be more suited for a 4-5 year old girl…I don’t know it just does. (sigh!) sadly it doesn’t seem that today’s 4-5 year old girls around Silicon Valley or even New York would wear such a thing considering the next thing in fashion is whatever Hannah MONTANA wears. Who knows – she might not wear anything next *groans*.

It just saddens me to know that kids these days look more at the TV then in the pre-historic dress-up box. Where’s imagination?

Anyway…I digress – your travels are awesome as always!

Once you’re IN Tokyo, the clothes aren’t expensive (when bought secondhand)… it’s getting to Japan that eats up costs!1

I think maybe jumbling them all into one and then letting them explode would somehow be the only thing to describe the best one for me…right now I only have a few pieces of brand names but I wear a bunch of different styles. It depends on how I feel that day of all the different things I could mix and match for an awesome outfit.

I would be broke all the time no matter what style I chose. I love them all. Pink on me is nice and I like it. I love Fushia which is a bright pink. I also love black!

Wow it’s all so pastel pink! I love the look on other people but it seems i’m not capable of anything pastel. Anyone else get the feeling of Minnie Mouse with that black top and red poka dot combo outfit? :)

Everything is so…. pink O_O I LOVE PINK <3Ironic enough that the clothes that reflect me are PUTUMAYO because although I’m a girl, I feel weird in a dress LOLAlso, I think yellow is a tacky piss color for Lolita… unless it’s one of those really light/sunny pastel yellows (not like the yellow that’s being shown. That’s ugly >_>)

I don’t know if I’ve said this before, but when I first saw the name PUTUMAYO I thought it said Putamayo (puta = bitch in Spanish), so I LOL’d hard thinking it was saying “bitch mayonnaise” xD Just a little interesting though I’d thought I’d share with you.

I have to go and see Tokyo someday, it’s a must! I’m in Osaka every summer but nothing beats Laforet in shopping, I’m sure…I want to see Nile Perch with my own two eyes T_T
I’ve only ever been to the Metamorphose head-store on Shinsaibashi in Osaka and it was such an awesome feeling ^^ Gotta love their prints!!! All the jumperskirts I have are from Meta cause I feel like they can mix the sweet loli style with an unusual touch, making it not so sweet…I’m not making any sense here, am I….Sorry ^^ Love your blog!!!
