TAKUYA ANGEL NEW HARAJUKU SHOP, CYBERGOTH JAPANESE CLOTHING FOR SALE. CANAL PLUS DOCUMENTARY WITH ANTOINE DE CAUNES.

After posing with the cosplayers on Harajuku’s Jingu bridge, we went to visit Takuya Angel at his new shop. You may recall that he closed his old boutique…

Happily, Takuya has opened up another shop in the same complex (on a side-street from Takeshita doori). It’s on the upper floor; look for a narrow hallway and keep walking until you’re inside his cyber paradise. (For maps and more, visit my Harajuku shopping guide.)

Keep your monster paws up! Takuya’s new store may be smaller, but if we support him, he’s here to stay. You can also purchase items via the Takuya Angel online store.

After you visit the designer, don’t forget to grab a bite of cabbage-yaki from the cheap food stall underneath his store. The water costs 100 yen, but sitting on a punk boy is free.

For a walk down memory lane, you can see photos of Takuya Angel’s original store in this post.

Demain, n’oubliez pas! French friends, please don’t forget to watch my 90 minute documentary, Toqué de Tokyo, premiering tomorrow on Canal Plus. Apparently, the program (hosted by me and Antoine de Caunes) is currently featured in an ad spot on French TV! (Photo by Jérémie Souteyrat.)
