JAPONISTA SOLE, NINJA JIKA TABI: JAPANESE SHOES & BOOTS WITH TOES! SAMURAI FOOTWEAR, GOTH CORSET, H.NAOTO.

Hi-yah! Japonista Sole let me play with their high cut ninja boots.
How adorable are the toes? The brand mixes contemporary street style with Japanese traditional design (think Lucy Liu in Kill Bill).

The strong, lightweight soles let you sneak around like a ninja. And if you need a disguise, pull down the top of the boots to reveal the Aloha print inside.
Goth dress: h.NAOTO Sixh, from Closet Child
Custom leather studded corset: from Bed Behavior in LA (Hollywood at Cahuenga)
Lace flower tights: old things

That’s not the only surprise from Japonista Sole. Look at what was inside the box!

Basil Farrow is mesmerized by the Japanese snacks used as packaging. (Aren’t his sideways-feet precious?)

“What shall I eat first?”

The shoes come in boxes printed with a colorful manifesto. My Scottish Fold decides to use one as a cheek-rest.

I matched my purple hair with purple eyeshadow, and drew tic-tac-toe nail art. The rock-star headband is actually a choker, a present from Sebastiano.

There are clasps along the side, which you can attach in various ways so the shoe always fits.

Japonista Sole has a variety of designs and colors, including these yellow ones that match my Little Prince shirt from Rome. You can see more on their website, which is chock full of street style photos and videos.
Would you wear ninja/samurai shoes? Got questions about my clothes, makeup or styling? I invite you to leave a comment; I try to reply to all.
Song of the Day: Madame Edwarda playlist (Japanese 1980s post punk! Saw the band live in Shinjuku recently.)
